Spring Break Can Be Dangerous
Every year, thousands of students head to South Florida for Spring Break. Many don’t realize the risks of accidental overdose. Fentanyl-laced substances are more common than ever, and overdoses can happen in seconds. Quick access to life-saving resources prevents tragedies and saves lives.

How We Help
Each Spring Break, The SPOT Broward takes action. We provide free Naloxone, an overdose-reversing medication, and offer harm reduction education to prevent overdoses before they happen.
- Since 2021, we have distributed over 20,000 naloxone doses during spring break, preventing countless overdoses around the nation.
- Our efforts have contributed to a 16% decrease in fatal overdoses in Broward County.*
- Over 1,000 individuals who received naloxone from us reported using it to reverse an overdose.
*From 2022 to 2023 (latest data)
